"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his ______ he saved us."

This verse isn't in today's daily — no spoilers here.

Did you know?

Titus was Paul's fixer — dispatched to Corinth to calm a crisis, then to Crete to 'set in order the things that are wanting.' The hard assignments had his name on them.

Paul quotes a Cretan poet calling Cretans 'alway liars' — and adds, 'This witness is true.' Scripture contains exactly one certified philosophical burn from Epimenides.

Titus never appears in Acts — everything we know about him comes from Paul's letters, where he's called 'mine own son after the common faith.'

For a letter about good works, its center is pure grace: 'the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared... not by works of righteousness which we have done.'

Think you know Titus? Prove it.
