"But the Lord is ______, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil."

This verse isn't in today's daily — no spoilers here.

Did you know?

Someone had apparently forged a letter in Paul's name claiming the day of Christ had already come — 2 Thessalonians exists partly to shut that down, and Paul signs it with an anti-forgery token: 'so I write.'

Some Thessalonians had quit their jobs to wait for the Lord's return. Paul's correction became proverbial: 'if any would not work, neither should he eat.'

The KJV's 'stablish' isn't a typo for 'establish' — it's the same word, older spelling. We accept only the KJV's version. Naturally.

At three chapters, it's one of Paul's shortest letters to a church — a follow-up memo to a congregation he'd already taught face to face.

Think you know 2 Thessalonians? Prove it.
